You must not:

  • use this website for fraudulent, unlawful or misleading purposes;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server or connected systems;
  • upload or transmit malicious code, viruses or harmful material;
  • copy, scrape or reproduce website content without permission;
  • submit false, inaccurate or misleading information;
  • use our name, logo or branding without prior written consent.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to the website where we believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Website information

The information on this website is provided for general information only. While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current or free from errors.

Nothing on this website should be treated as legal, financial, tax, immigration, investment or professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making business, financial or legal decisions based on information found on this website.

4. Membership

Membership of the British Armenian Chamber of Commerce may be available to individuals, businesses, organisations and other eligible applicants, subject to approval.

By applying for membership, you agree that:

  • the information you provide is accurate and complete;
  • you are authorised to apply on behalf of the business or organisation named in the application;
  • you will keep your membership details up to date;
  • you will act in a professional and respectful manner towards other members, partners, event attendees and representatives of the Chamber;
  • you will not use membership for unlawful, misleading or damaging purposes.

We reserve the right to approve, refuse, suspend or terminate membership at our discretion, particularly where an applicant or member acts in a way that may damage the reputation, interests or objectives of the Chamber.

5. Membership fees and renewals

Membership fees, where applicable, will be shown on the website or communicated directly before payment is made.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • membership fees are payable in advance;
  • membership begins once payment has been received and the application has been approved;
  • membership runs for the period stated at the time of joining;
  • renewal fees must be paid before the renewal date to maintain active membership;
  • failure to pay renewal fees may result in suspension or removal of membership benefits.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your membership by contacting us at info@britisharmeniancc.com.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, membership fees are non-refundable once membership has been approved and activated. This is because membership provides access to benefits, visibility, introductions, directory listings, resources and other opportunities from the start of the membership period.

Where we cancel an event, service or membership for reasons within our control, we will explain any refund, credit or alternative arrangement available.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

7. Member directory and business listings

Members may be invited or permitted to submit information for inclusion in the Chamber’s business directory, member profiles or promotional materials.

By submitting business information, logos, images, descriptions, contact details or other content, you confirm that:

  • the information is accurate and not misleading;
  • you have the right to submit and publish the content;
  • the content does not infringe any third-party rights;
  • the content is not unlawful, offensive, defamatory or discriminatory;
  • you give us permission to display, edit and format the content for use on our website, directory, newsletters, social media and promotional materials connected with the Chamber.

We reserve the right to edit, decline, suspend or remove directory listings or submitted content at our discretion.

The inclusion of a business, member or organisation in the directory does not mean that we endorse, guarantee or accept responsibility for their products, services, conduct or business activities.

8. Events

The Chamber may organise, promote or support business events, networking sessions, trade events, conferences, webinars and other activities.

Event details, including dates, times, venues, speakers, ticket prices and programmes, may change where necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

By registering for an event, you agree to:

  • provide accurate booking information;
  • comply with any event rules, venue requirements or safety instructions;
  • behave respectfully towards other attendees, speakers, organisers and staff;
  • not record, reproduce or commercially exploit event content without permission.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, unlawful or damaging to the Chamber’s reputation.

9. Event cancellation and substitutions

If you are unable to attend an event, you should contact us as soon as possible.

Refunds, credits or substitutions may depend on the event type, venue terms, supplier commitments and cancellation notice period. Any specific event cancellation policy will take priority over this general section where stated.

The Chamber is not responsible for travel, accommodation or other personal costs incurred in connection with attending an event unless expressly agreed in writing.

10. Third-party links and services

This website may contain links to third-party websites, services, partners, members or external resources.

These links are provided for convenience and information only. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, terms, products or services.

You should review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website before using it.

11. Sponsorship, partnerships and promotional opportunities

The Chamber may offer sponsorship, partnership, advertising or promotional opportunities. Any such arrangement will be subject to separate written agreement, proposal or confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw promotional activity that we consider unsuitable, inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or inconsistent with the Chamber’s values, reputation or objectives.

You may view, download and print website content for your own internal business or personal use. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, sell or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

The British Armenian Chamber of Commerce name, logo and branding must not be used without our written consent.

13. Content submitted by users and members

Where you submit content to us, including business descriptions, articles, news, images, event details or profile information, you remain responsible for that content.

You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use, publish, reproduce, edit and promote that content in connection with the Chamber’s website, directory, newsletters, social media, events and promotional activity.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, damage or cost arising from content you submit where that content breaches these Terms or infringes the rights of another person or organisation.

14. Acceptable conduct

Members, users and event attendees are expected to act professionally and respectfully.

We do not tolerate behaviour that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, dishonest, unlawful or damaging to the Chamber, its members, partners, staff or wider community.

Where we believe conduct is unacceptable, we may suspend access, remove content, cancel bookings, terminate membership or take any other action we consider appropriate.

15. Limitation of liability

We make reasonable efforts to provide a reliable and useful website, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, secure, uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • reliance on website information;
  • third-party websites, services or member activities;
  • events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

16. Privacy and personal data

We collect and use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using this website, applying for membership, registering for events or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that your personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use the website or services after changes are published, you agree to the updated Terms.

19. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the website, membership benefits, directory listings, event bookings or services where:

  • these Terms have been breached;
  • payment has not been made;
  • information provided is false or misleading;
  • conduct is harmful to the Chamber or its members;
  • continued access may create legal, reputational or operational risk.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination.

20. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include, but is not limited to, technical failure, cyber incidents, natural events, strikes, transport disruption, venue closure, illness, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond our control.

21. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
